Remembering Tom

In 2020, Tom was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. Rather than lose hope, he chose to participate in a Phase 1 clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He understood something remarkable: the treatment might not help him.

BCAC Race Series

Strong Like Tom is proud to be part of the BaseCamp Athletic Club Race Series, a community‑driven collection of local events that encourages runners to train local and race local. Strong Like Tom became apart of the series in 2024.

All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, supporting the research of Dr. Dana E. Rathkopf, who provided direct care to Tom during his treatment.
